World Maths Day May 5th

On Wednesday May 5th we celebrated World Maths Day. The classes took on different activities and looked for maths in our home and school environment. Junior and Senior Infants are learning how to count; 1st and 2nd class are working with tens and units while also on a maths trail; 3rd and 4th class had a maths trail in the school yard; and 5th and 6th class also had a maths trail as well as looking at all the ways we can see and use maths on our journey home and in our houses. We had lots of fun measuring, estimating and averaging lots of different challenges.
