Wednesday 19th February will long be remembered in Scoil Naomh Iosef as a Day of Action for the Marine Environment as our school works towards earning our 8th Green Flag. Pupils and staff came to school dressed for the marine theme. All sorts of costumes, many of which were made from recycled materials captured perfectly the key messages of protecting our marine environments which are particularly threatened by plastic pollution. Pupils engaged in activities throughout the day related to water and marine protection. 1st to 4th classes enjoyed a visit to our local park and the local river where they also undertook litter picking.
