scoil naomh iosef
Green SchoolsThis year at Scoil Naomh Iosef we are looking to achieve our sixth Green Flag. The theme of the flag is Global Citizenship; Litter and Waste.
Our committee are working together with school co-ordinator Mr. Murphy and Ms. Nolan to further reduce the volume of waste produced in the school while also learning about our about global issues.
The pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class have been very busy learning all about what a global citizen is. As well as learning about the different nationalities in our school. The staff and pupils at Scoil Naomh Iosef represent seven different nationalities.
We have also been taking part in recycling initiatives like clothes collection and battery recycling.
Following the Global Awareness survey carried out last year, we have decided we need to improve awareness of Fairtrade this year. Keep an eye on this page to see our progress!
