In Scoil Naomh Iosef we are proud to call ourselves a Green School. We have a long running commitment to the An Taisce Green Schools programme. We are currently working towards our eighth green flag. The theme is the Marine Environment.
Our committee are working together with school co-ordinator Mr. Murphy to raise awareness of the importance of our marine environments as well as the causes of pollution of these habitats. We are doing our bit at a local level to help global change.
Our school garden is a key part of our school grounds and pupils help to maintain it and use it to grow their own vegetables as well as planting seeds and flowers.
