Third and Fourth class recently got their hands on our new Bee Bots. Bee Bots are programmable robots. The children first developed an understanding of how to code the robots etc. using a simulator on the whiteboard in their classroom but working in pairs to set each other challenges on the ipads. Once the children were comfortable inputting instructions to their bot we set off for the halla. Following some free play and exploration with the Bee Bots the children engaged their estimating skills. Mrs. Nash set out a simple course or road-way for the BeeBots and the challenge was get the Bee Bot through the course without leaving the road-way.
