June 27th marked the end of a chapter for one girl, eight boys and their families at Scoil Naomh Iosef. This particular bunch of children started school here in Scoil Naomh Iosef on the same day as Mrs. Nash and Esther. There is no doubt but that this group will be missed. They have grown into incredible young people during their time here. They have achieved all sorts of accolades- academic, sporting and otherwise but most importantly they have great friendships. It is also the end of an era for many of these families in our school community, some of whom have had children attending our school for the last two decades. We would like to thank them for their continued support of our school.
Ms. Shanahan prepared a lovely powerpoint capturing the children’s 8 years here in Scoil Naomh Iosef. The children were awarded with Year Books and our school Graduation Medals. Fr. Casey celebrated mass with us to mark the occasion, following which the Graduates entertained the crowd with their rendition of “Riptide”. Cupcakes and tea were enjoyed before the school bell rang for one last time on this group’s primary school education.
We have no doubt that each of these young people will continue to do well in the years ahead and we wish them all the very best of luck!
