3rd – 6th class have been busy learning all about Farm Safety. In the first module we are learning all about signs around the farm and what they mean. We have learned how to keep safe when visiting a farm and how to be alert for dangers. We watched a webinar in our classes and learned about various signs, dangers around slurry and slurry pits, what signs and symbols to look out for.
For homework we designed our own farm safety posters and those of us who live on a farm put important phone numbers in easily accessed places in case of emergencies. We also took pictures of safety measures put in place on our farms.
