We would like to commend and praise this fantastic team of footballers. They gave a fantastic account of themselves at the county stage of the Mini Sevens in Rathkeale today. They played some fantastic football and were very unlucky not to come home as champions. They saw off Ballybrown comprehensively in the first match, drew with Caherline in their second game and beat Martinstown in their final match. The overall winner on the day was decided on score difference and Dromcollogher were unlucky to lose out to Caherline. The boys should be very proud of themselves, as we certainly are. Our thanks as always to Mr Murphy and Mr Stokes who trained the boys this year. Thanks also to those who travelled to support on the day and to Gareth and the local club for keeping everyone updated through their twitter feed. Congratulations to our neighbours across the parish, the girls football team from Broadford NS won their Mini 7s competition today – Maith Sibh.
