Junior and Senior Infants had a very busy week completing a different experiment everyday for Science week. Take a look below at some of the fun experiments they did 🧑🔬👩🔬.
Skittles experiment: The Senior Infants used warm water while the Junior Infants used cold water to see which one would dissolve the colours faster 🌈.
The children learned how plants drink water, they checked the celery everyday to see colour changes and how much water had been absorbed 💧.
They made safety jackets for Humpty Dumpty using only bubble wrap, kitchen paper, tinfoil and cello tape. Once the jacket was made they dropped their Humpty Dumpty to the ground and checked to see if he cracked or not 🥚🥚.
Using oil, water, food dye and alka seltzer tablets, the children made their own lava lamps. This experiments caused great excitement in the classroom as they each took a turn putting in a tablet to create chemical energy 🌋.
The school office is manned Monday to Wednesday 9.00 am – 12.00 pm. An answering service is available at all other times and a call will be returned to you.
