Signs and Symbols Farm Safe Schools Module 1

As part of Module 1 for Farm Safety Schools, the children in 5th and 6th class searched their houses for various bottles and items that may be in there homes that displayed safety or warning signs and symbols. The children looked at the various symbols that were displayed on the various product and also looked at the colour.

The children had learned in Module 1 of the various safety signs and the different features of signs that are used to warn people that something is or is not safe. The children learned that red meant not to do something; yellow was a cautionary sign and blue was used to show that something is mandatory;

Those who live on a farm looked for examples of these signs on their farm, and others looked for similar warning signs in their homes on various products (mainly cleaning products). The children then uploaded lots of their pictures onto their Seesaw account.
