stem activity 1st & 2nd

We were given the challenge of designing a boat for the gingerbread man to help get him safely across the river. We used plastic containers from home and some materials from school. We quickly put our thinking caps on and came up with a design for our boat. Some children worked together on the task, others enjoyed working alone. The children really enjoyed the challenge and created some very impressive boats. We definitely have a few engineers in our classroom!
