Term 2 was a busy season on the sports front. The children participated in a number of tournaments!
The boys in 3rd and 4th class did very well in the indoor hurling tournament. The fifth class girls also participated in the indoor camogie tournament and represented themselves very well. 5th and 6th began training for a tag rugby tournament and some of the children attended a training day at Newcastle West Rugby Club. Two teams travelled to Limerick for the FAI 5 a side soccer tournament. The girls team progressed to the second day of the competition. Well Done to all involved! Thanks to Mr Murphy, Mr Stokes and Ms Fitzgibbon.
The whole school participated in 5 weeks of hurling training which was facilitated by the Games Development Administrator of Limerick GAA.
