3rd and 4th class were busy on Monday ahead of St. Brigid’s Day on February 1st making the traditional crosses. The pupils first learned all about the life of St. Brigid and the many legends associated with her. They then proceeded to make the St. Brigid’s cross from pipe cleaners. When they had mastered the skill of weaving the cross, they started on making the traditional rush cross just like the saint herself did back in the 5th century.
