The theme for the month of November in the infant classroom was ‘The Doctors Surgery’. The children expored this topic in all curriculum areas. Take a look below at just some of their work.
In our role play corner the children took turns being the nurse, doctor, receptionist and patient. They booked their appointments, checked in at reception and waited in the waiting room. The doctor and nurses were very busy using the stethoscope and other medical equipment to check their patients and then wrote them their prescriptions.
They used playdough to make the doctor’s equipment.
The children learned about healthy and unhealthy foods during the month. They cut out pictures of healthy and unhealthy food from magazines and stuck them in correct sides. They also made fruit smoothies, which went down a treat.
Using different fruits the pupils made some colourful prints.
